Eagles-Cardinals Done Deal

The Arizona Cardinals have a new starting quarterback.  After much speculation the Cardinals officially finalized a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles to bring Kevin Kolb to Arizona.

In exchange for Kolb the Cardinals shipped cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a 2nd round pick to Philadelphia.  The 27-year-old former 2nd round pick out of Houston is viewed as the new franchise quarterback as the Cardinals inked him to a new 5 year $63.5 million contract ($21.5 million guaranteed).

The Eagles on the other hand fill a need acquiring Rodgers-Cromartie who will fit right in as a starter in the defensive backfield.

  1. I liked Kolb. Worried about them getting rid of Vick soon bc of age like they did to Brian Dawkins….a.k.a. God. And obviously Rodgers-Cromartie will help but they need offensive line help

  2. I’m sure the Eagles are not done yet……I have gotta think they lock Vick up to a long term contract……Though I’d hope to win in the next year or two with him….otherwise it may be too late.

  3. Just shows how watered down the quarterback field is, I think Kolb will be solid in Arizona.
