Epstein New Cubs President of Baseball Operations

It had been rumored for about a week, but it is now official, Theo Epstein is the new Chicago Cubs General Manager. Epstein was hired by the Red Sox on November 25th, 2002 and held the General Manager position for almost nine years. He helped put together Red Sox teams that won the World Series in 2oo4 and 2oo7. Theo heads to Chicago after signing a 5 year, 15-20 million dollar contract, and hopes to end the 104 year World Series drought.

Was hired in Boston in 2002.

World Series Title in 2004

And Again in 2007.

Frustrating end to his Red Sox tenure with the September collapse.

Will now call this home.
