NFL Thoughts for Week 5

Bills 31, Eagles 24

-5 turnovers by the Eagles’ offense and almost 500 yards offense. Makes you wonder what they could do if they stop turning it over.

-Fred Jackson had over 200 all purpose yards. Start any running back you can in fantasy against Philadelphia.

Chiefs 28, Colts 24

-Colts blew a 17 point lead in this one. Still #1 in the Suck for Luck sweepstakes.

-Cheifs have the Raiders and Chargers after their bye week. Seems like those two games will be their season.

Vikings 34, Cardinals 10

-Don’t let the score fool you, Donovan still struggled. He completed 10 passes for 121 yards.

-Kevin Kolb had three turnovers and has yet to find his groove in Arizona.

Seahwaks 36, Giants 25

-Just when you think the Giants turn the corner…bang. A home loss to Seattle after Tarvais Jackson gets hurt.

-Victor Cruz continues to marvel. 8 catches for 161 and a touchdown. Who knew?

Steelers 38, Titans 17

-Nice rebound win for the Steelers after losing to Houston.

-Titans fall back to earth, likely going to play second fiddle to Houston in the AFC South

Saints 30, Panthers 27

-Panthers might be 1-4, but they are certaintly exciting to watch with Steve Smith and Cam Newton. Now only if they can get that running game started.

-The Saints are a good team, but that defense will likely prevent them from being great.

Bengals 30, Jaguars 20

-Andy Dalton one ups Blaine Gabbert. Three comeback wins for the Bengals this year.

-Starting to think why MJD would want to stick around for the Jags rebuilding stages after this year?

Raiders 25, Texans 20

-It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a Darrius Heyward-Bey sighting! Not once, but two weeks in a row!

-So which Houston reciever wants to step up for Andre Johnson?

49ers 48, Bucs 3

-If the 49ers keep this up, the NFC West winner might have a winning record!

-If the Bucs don’t beat New Orleans this week, they can start concentrating on the wildcard.

Chargers 29, Broncos 25

-Broncos fans get their wish, it’s Tebow time.

-Ryan Matthews putting together a very nice sophomore campaign after a struggling last year.

Patriots 30, Jets 21

-Jets have lost three in a row. How will Rex Ryan respond? How will the players respond to him?

-If the Patriots get their running game going like they did in this game, there’s no team in the AFC that can stop them.

Packers 25, Falcons 14

-Down 14? on the road in the Georgia Dome? No problem for Aaron Rodgers and company.

-Still don’t believe in Matt Ryan.

Lions 24,  Bears 13

-Must be nice to have a team playing in the league championship series for baseball and 5-0 in football.

-Calvin Johnson would be the third best reciever on the….oh nevermind, he’s a beast.
