Atlanta 31, Carolina 17
-Imagine how much better Carolina would be if they got the running game going.
-Shocking that the Falcons play better when Michael Turner is the focal point of the offense….
Bengals 27, Colts 17
-Can you really blame Mike Brown for trading Carson Palmer when the Raiders basically gave them two first round picks?
– Tough three team race for Andrew Luck between the Colts, Dolphins, and Rams.
49ers 25, Lions 19
-Yeah, I still can’t buy Alex Smith. Not a believer that the 49ers can win a playoff game.
-The after game scuffle between Jim Harbaugh and Jim Schwartz was pretty funny. Harbaugh was probably over the line in his jumping up and down, Schwartz was out of line for going after Harbaugh.
Packers 24, Rams 3
-I’m kind of stunned the Packers didn’t win by more. My one concern about the Packers is their running game.
-What would the Rams do if they got the 1st pick? What if they didn’t get a good enough package to trade out of the pick?
Giants 27, Bills 24
-No Brandon Jacobs, no problem for Ahmad Bradshaw . Three touchdowns for Bradshaw all from a yard out…Not good for Jacobs when he’s healthy.
-Fred Jackson still continues to shine with over 120 yards and a 80 yard touchdown run.
Steelers 17, Jaguars 13
– If I was Jack Del Rio, I would have went for it on 4th down instead of kicking the field goal. Do you really think you’re going to get the ball back, drive the length of the field, and score a touchdown on the Steelers defense? No, I didn’t think so.
Eagles 20, Redskins 13
-The Redskins were held to 42 yards rushing. I don’t care who the running backs were, that’s a huge encouragement coming from the Eagles defense.
-2:44 left, three timeouts for the Redskins, Eagles ball. Most times in the Reid era, it would be a three and out. Shady bust off a big run, they get one more first down, game over. Admit it, you were stunned.
Raiders 24, Browns 17
-I get why the Raiders made the trade for Palmer with Jason Campbell getting hurt, but it’s still wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much compensation for a guy who I feel isn’t that good.
-Looks like Darrius Heyward-Bey is still starting to figure it out, maybe Al Davis knew what he was doing….
Ravens 29, Texans 14
-Perhaps the Texans are in for a dog fight with the Titans for the AFC South…
-I’m still skeptical on the Ravens, but that was an impressive win at home. Flacco played well and takes a lot for me to say.
Patriots 20, Cowboys 16
-Rob Ryan talks too much, but his unit played very well against Tom Brady.
-Did anyone not believe Brady was going to come back?
Bucs 26, Saints 20
-I said this was a must win game for the Bucs if they didn’t want the Saints to run away with this division. With a win by them and the Falcons win, three teams are within a game of the NFC South lead.
-Drew Brees’ numbers might have been flashy, but his three picks killed his team.
Bears 39, Vikings 10
-The end of Donovan’s McNabb career as a starter.
-Jay Cutler was only sacked once and had a solid game. What a formula.
Jets 24, Dolphins 6
-If guys like Tom Brady don’t throw to Revis Island, why would Matt Moore try to?
-I actually felt bad for Brandon Marshall in his post game press conference, he genuinely looked upset about his team being 0-5.
