Pudge Retires

Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez will call it a career Monday in the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Rodriguez played 21 years in the majors with the Texas Rangers, Florida Marlins, Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees, Houston Astros and Washington Nationals. He was a career .296 hitter with 2,844 hits, 311 home runs and 1,332 runs batted in. Pudge was a 14-time all-star, 13-time gold glover and was the 1999 American League MVP.

Rodriguez made his debut with Texas in 1992.

He was a 14-time all-star.

Pudge had 13 gold gloves behind the plate.

He finished his illustrious career in a Nationals uniform.
