RIP Carl Beane

On the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park, it has lost its voice. Carl Beane, Fenway’s PA announcer, was killed in a car accident after having a heart attack Wednesday afternoon. Beane, who was 59 years old had served as the voice of the Red Sox since 2003. His smile and baritone voice will be missed not only by the Red Sox fans and organization but all of the baseball world.

Beane has been the PA voice since 2003.

He was able to announce World Series games in 2004 and 2007.

It will be a somber night in the press box come Thursday night’s game.
