College Football Preview

Michigan-Alabama is the best matchup of the opening weekend.

Thursday night is the beginning of the 2012 college football season and the march to a BCS championship. I will break down the top ten teams in the country and who will win their respective conferences. Let the games begin.

10. Arkansas

Tyler Wilson will lead the Hogs after throwing for 3,638 yards and 24 touchdowns last season.

9. South Carolina

Marcus Lattimore leads the Gamecocks running attack. He ran for 818 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.

8. Michigan

The man they call “Shoelace”, Denard Robinson is one of the best dual threat quarterbacks in the country.

7. Florida State

E.J. Manuel threw for 2,666 yards and ran for 150 last season in Tallahassee.

6. Georgia

Aaron Murray would like to follow in the footsteps of Stafford and Greene in Athens.

5. Oregon

DeAnthony Thomas will replace LaMichael James in the Ducks backfield. He ran for 595 yards and 7 touchdowns in limited duty last year.

4. Oklahoma

Kenny Still will be Landry Jones’s biggest weapon this season. He had 849 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns last season in Norman.

3. LSU

Spencer Ware will pound the football behind a talented offensive line in Baton Rouge. He ran for 707 yards and 8 touchdowns last year.

2. Alabama

Nick Saban and The Crimson Tide will be looking to repeat as National Champions.

1. USC

Matt Barkley’s decision to return to USC made him the Heisman front-runner and USC the team to beat.
