The Boston Celtics were dealt a major blow Sunday afternoon, learning that their All Star point guard had torn his ACL and is done for the year.
Rondo was averaging 14 points, 11 assists and 6 rebounds a game and was elected the starting point guard of the Eastern Conference in the All Star Game. He is not only the floor leader of the Celtics but their best player on any given night. Rondo has the ability to put up a triple-double and is arguably the best point guard in the league. Avery Bradley, Courtney Lee and Jason Terry will have to carry the load at the point guard position now. The Celtics are 20-23 and are currently the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference.
