The 500 home run club welcomed another member Tuesday night. Albert Pujols crushed his 499th and 500th home runs in a 7-2 victory over the Washington Nationals. He is the first player to hit his 499th and 500th on the same night. Pujols is the third youngest player to join the exclusive club. Albert is hitting .274 with 8 homers and 19 runs batted in. Pujols is in his fourteenth season, spending eleven in St. Louis and the last three with the Angels. A sure Hall of Famer in St. Louis has struggled to stay on the field since signing his big deal in Anaheim.
