Durant Named MVP

Durant took home the 2014 NBA MVP.

Kevin Durant has taken over the LeBron James’s reign of MVP trophies. Durant was named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player on Tuesday. He averaged 32 points, 7 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game this season. Durant is first player since Allen Iverson to win the MVP and scoring title since 2000-01. KD led the Thunder to 59 wins and a Northwest Division title. In a show of support the whole Oklahoma City Thunder team joined Durant at the press conference. LeBron James may be the best all around player in the game, but for this season no one could touch Kevin Durant.

Durant is the first player since Allen Iverson to win the scoring title and MVP in the same season.
