Pacific Division

The Kings brought in Darren Collison to run the point and Nik Staukas to contribute from the perimeter. Ben McLemore needs to take that next step and DeMarcus Cousins needs to dominate and behave. Kobe returns to a team with Carlos Boozer in the low post and Jeremy Lin running the point. Nick Young needs to be a spark plug off the bench for new coach Byron Scott. Isaiah Thomas will back up Goran Dragic and the front court will consist of youngsters Miles Plumlee and Markieff Morris. Alex Len needs to improve and Eric Bledsoe needs to dominate the  Suns scoring. Steve Kerr will try to improve a high speed, high scoring offense. The Warriors will need the front court of David Lee and Andrew Bogut to stay healthy. Steve Balmer takes over ownership from Donald Sterling in Los Angeles. The Clippers need Chris Paul to run the show, Blake Griffin to dominate the boards and Jamal Crawford to light it up off the bench. The winner of the Warriors-Clippers battles will take home the Pacific.

Southwest Division

Tyreke Evans and Omer Asik join an up and coming Pelicans squad. Anthony Davis has MVP potential in the low post. The Grizzlies have one of the most physical front courts in Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol. Vince Carter is a very nice addition off the bench. Trevor Ariza will be the Rockets three point sharp shooter. Terrence Jones needs to continue to improve in the low post and Jason Terry needs to make a spark off the bench. A new look Mavericks squad has Jameer Nelson at the point, Chandler Parsons at small forward and Tyson Chandler down low. Dirk has the weapons to make a real run in the post season. The champs return the majority of their squad including NBA Finals hero Patty Mills. The Spurs are the still the favorites, but this division is loaded top to bottom.

Trevor Ariza will be the three point sharp shooter for the Rockets offense.

Northwest Division

Dante Exum was taken high in the draft to control the back court with Trey Burke for years to come. Gordon Hayward needs to show the Jazz he is worth the money they gave him. With Kevin Love gone, Andrew Wiggins is the new face in Minnesota. Thaddeus Young was brought over to bring energy and defensive ability in the paint. The Nuggets have a high tempo offense with a great point guard in Ty Lawson and Kenneth Faried causing chaos in the paint. A healthy Danilo Gallinari and Nate Robinson off the bench are two nice additions. The Blazers have a tremendous one, two punch of Damian Lillard and LaMarcus Aldridge. The Blazers need Nicolas Batum to stay healthy and Steve Blake and Dorrell Wright to provide depth off the bench. Kevin Durant missing eight weeks is a huge blow to the Thunder’s chances. Steven Adams needs to take control in the paint and Reggie Jackson has to take over games off the bench. Even without Durant the Thunder are still the best team in the Northwest.

With Durant missing significant time, Westbrook will be the Thunder’s go to guy.
