On July 24th, Major League Baseball honored and welcomed its new class to Cooperstown.
2011 Hall of Fame Class
1. Roberto Alomar – One of the best defensive second basemen in baseball history. He finished with a career .300 batting average with 210 homers and 1134 runs batted in. He played with the San Diego Padres, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, New York Mets, Chicago White Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, but is best known for his days with the Toronto Blue Jays.

2. Bert Blyleven – Long before his induction, people felt he already had the credentials. He pitched 22 seasons in the big leagues winning 287 games, including 20 in 1973. He pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Indians, California Angels and the Minnesota Twins, where he serves as play by play analyst on Fox North.

3. Pat Gillick – A general manager for 4 different teams, Toronto Blue Jays, Baltimore Orioles, Seattle Mariners and Philadelphia Phillies. He won 3 World Series titles 2 with Toronto and 1 in Philadelphia. Gillick also led the Orioles to division titles and was behind the 2001 Mariners team that won 116 games.
