Mess in Miami

Over the past few days, the NCAA has launched a huge investigation of the Miami football program. Most of their investigation revolves around Nevin Shapiro, a Miami booster who was found to have given Miami football players millons of dollars in gifts and cash. Shapiro has given improper benefits to at least 72 players from 2002 to 2010. He is now in prison for a Ponzi Scheme and has revealed to many media outlets about the corruption that was taking place at the University of Miami. The benefits these players received were cash, prostitutes, trips on a high-priced yacht, dinners at lavish restaurants and jewelry.  Some major NFL players have been involved with Shapiro including Jon Beason, Frank Gore, Devin Hester, Andre Johnson, Kellen Winslow, Vince Wilfork and Jonathan Vilma. If convicted of these alleged violations by the NCAA, this could be a devastating blow to the Miami football program for a long time.

Hits like this by Jonathan Vilma were made because Shapiro used to put 5,000 dollar bounty's on the heads of former quarterbacks like Chris Rix

Both of these men, Butch Davis and Randy Shannon, turned a blind eye to these activities

Even the President of the University, Donna Shalala was involved in things with Shapiro

Dealing with this crap is not how new Head Coach Al Golden have envisioned his start at Miami
