Francona To Lead Tribe

Terry Francona has had enough time off from the game. After being  fired from the 2011 September collapse of the Red Sox, Francona worked for ESPN as an in studio anaylst and was in the three-man booth for Sunday Night Baseball.

Dunlap New Bobcats Coach

After an interview process where it seemed like no one wanted the job, the Bobcats have finally found their man. Mike Dunlap, previously an assistant for St. Johns has been the named the new coach in Charlotte. Dunlap’s only experience in the NBA was as an assistant for the Denver Nuggets from 2006-2008. He has coached for Loyola Marymount, Iowa, USC, Arizona and Oregon before joining Steve Lavin’s staff. Dunlap led California Lutheran University to the Southern California Conference National Championship from 92-94 and coached in Australia for the Adelaide 36ers. He has his work cut out for him as the Bobcats were an NBA worst 7-59 this past season.

Dunlap was an assistant in Denver from 2006-08.

Larry Brown Returns To The Bench

Larry Brown has returned to coaching again. He has been hired as the new Southern Methodist head coach. Brown hasn’t coached since 2010 when he led the Charlotte Bobcats to the playoffs. He began coaching in college with Davidson, then spent time at UCLA and Kansas. In the NBA, he coached the Nets, Spurs, Clippers, Pacers, 76ers, Pistons and Knicks. L.B. has 1,098 NBA wins, a National Championship with Kansas in 1988 and a NBA Title with the Detroit Pistons in 2004. Brown has his work cut out for him, SMU was 13-19 overall and 4-12 in Conference USA last year.

The last time Brown coached in the NCAA he won an NCAA Title with Kansas in 1988.

Schiano New Bucs Coach

Greg Schiano is the new Tampa Bay Buccaneers Head Coach. Schiano has been the Rutgers Head Coach since 2001 where he went 68-67. He also coached with the Bears and University of Miami as Defensive Backs Coach and Defensive Coordinator.

Schiano won 68 games in 11 seasons at Rutgers.

Pagano New Colts Coach

Chuck Pagano is the new Indianapolis Colts head coach. Pagano has been on the Baltimore Ravens staff as Secondary Coach and Defensive Coordinator since 2008. He also coached at USC, Miami, Boise State, East Carolina, UNLV, North Carolina, the Browns and Raiders.

Pagano served as the Cleveland Browns Secondary Coach from 2001-2004.

He was the Defensive Coordinator for the Ravens in 2011.

Allen New Raiders Coach

Dennis Allen is the new Oakland Raiders head coach. Allen had most recently been the Denver Broncos Defensive Coordinator. He also coached for Texas A&M, Tulsa, Falcons and Saints as a Secondary Coach, Defensive Assistant and Assistant Defensive Line Coach.

Allen was a Defensive Line and Secondary Coach in New Orleans.

He coached the Broncos defense this year.
